UTI symptoms among adults and children

People generally develop UTI symptoms suddenly, although signs and symptoms generally depend on the types of infections.

A strong and frequent urge to urinate is the most common UTI pain you may experience, followed by a burning sensation or pain at the time of urinating, cloudy or bloody urine, and strong foul urine odor.

Sometimes, women quickly develop a sharp pain in the pelvic area, while men experience the same in the rectal area.

Among children, urinary tract symptoms can be a bit different and this disease can be more harmful to infants and preschool children. Some common symptoms among children include high fever along with weakness, frequent and painful urination, cloudy urine, low back or abdominal pain, nausea, and loss of appetite.
